Meet Lindsey Danisch MSW, RSW

Clinical Director & Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist
She/her

I've worn a few hats before becoming a therapist. Before becoming a social worker, I was a barista, hostess, dating coach and a high school special ed teacher in alternative education.

As a social worker, I've worked at a youth mental health agency, in the ER, and at Sick Kids. More specifically, I've experienced things like traveling to Japan and attending the Sundance Film Festivals with 20+ teens, ghost-writing for online dating clients, living and teaching in the Czech Republic (where I knew no one nor spoke the language), and moving to my hometown of Chicago to attend graduate school for my second career.

Finally, I immigrated to Canada to put down roots with my husband and start my practice. I have a uber active son and two salukis (dogs!) that keep me grounded and on my toes.

I too am in the thick of life, and I get it. I consider it an immense privilege to be trusted with the intimate details of my clients' lives. I walk this journey with them, knowing they are the expert of themselves, and we learn from each other.

Oh!  And I make a mean latte.

Meet Elaine Falzon MSW, RSW

Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist
She/her

Elaine worked in the television industry for over a decade; working in production and programming for children’s television at the CBC and TVO.

After going through her infertility journey, the experience of adopting her daughter, Viktoria from Russia in 2000 inspired a passion for social work, wanting to connect with children who’ve experienced loss and provide support to their parents and prospective adoptive parents.

This career change began at the Adoption Council of Ontario, leading to becoming a child protection worker at the Halton Children’s Aid Society and then on to a management position at Niagara Family and Children’s Services where she supervised a child protection team.

In the midst of all of these changes, Elaine obtained her MSW at Laurier University and went on to become a full time therapist at the Family Counseling Center of Niagara where she works extensively with couples, individuals and families.

Elaine’s motivation as a clinician is to help people connect with their deeper selves. She provides emotion focused couples counselling; trauma processing (developmental, complex and intergenerational) and works from an attachment framework. She has training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Integrated Trauma and Attachment Treatment Model (ITATM), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFCT, EFIT, EFFT), Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP), Theraplay, Marshak Interaction Method (MIM), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Elaine also has formal training in separation and divorce, which she completed in Toronto, Ontario with Dr. Barbara Fiddler on Parent Coordination and Children Resisting Post Separation Contact. Elaine integrates evidence-based approaches in her work with careful consideration of her client’s needs.

Elaine lives with her husband and daughter in Dundas, Ontario. She has two wonderful step-daughters and is also the mom of three rambunctious and spoiled canine fur babies. Elaine provides virtual therapy.

Nina Wallace MSW, RSW

Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist
She/her

Nina has over 15 years experience working in children's and adult mental health, specifically supporting areas of trauma. Most people will experience aspects of trauma over their lifetime. Trauma is the result of experiencing something physically and/or emotionally distressing . Untreated trauma can fester in one's body and present as anxiety/panic, depression, anger, irritability, sleep/eating issues, inability to concentrate, low self-esteem, or intimacy issues just to name a few. For some, trauma was experienced in childhood, through sexual assault, or not having your basic needs met.

In Nina’s practice, she uses a variety of therapeutic modalities, such as EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy), DBT (dialectical behaviour therapy) and talk therapy to support her clients through their trauma and to support their healing process.

Nina lives with her husband and twin boys. They are nature lovers, watch Spiderman (endlessly) together and love to read books. Nina provides virtual therapy.
